Generally abbreviated to QTAC (and pronounced Q-Tack).
The Queensland Tertiary Admissions Centre (QTAC) is the administrative body responsible for processing applications for entrance into tertiary and other higher education institutions in the state of Queensland, Australia. QTAC is an independent, non-profit company established in 1990 under the then six public Queensland universities. It is responsible for processing all Year 12 graduates' ranked preferences and making placement offers to applicants.
