Quentin Willson

Encyclopedia : Q : QU : QUE : Quentin Willson

Quentin Willson (born July 23, 1957) is a British TV presenter and personality.

For eleven years from 1991, Willson was co-presenter of the BBC's Top Gear motoring magazine alongside Jeremy Clarkson, Tiff Needell and Vicki Butler-Henderson.

Before moving into television Willson was a car salesman and brought his expertise in buying and selling cars to the show.

After Clarkson's departure in 1999, Top Gear began to steadily lose viewers, and with the end of the show's 22 year run in sight, Willson and his remaining co-presenters defected to Channel 5 where 5th Gear, a clone of the Top Gear format, began in 2002. He also developed and presented Britain's Worst Driver and Britain's Worst DIY-er.

Recently Willson has become more of a TV personality, leaving behind his car-salesman image and appearing on shows as diverse as Strictly Come Dancing and I Love the 80s.
