Río Tuxpan
Encyclopedia : R : RO : ROT : Río Tuxpan
The Tuxpan River in México flows out to the Gulf of Mexico near the city and port of Tuxpan de Rodríguez Cano in Veracruz State. It's principal sources are: Vinazco, which starts in Hidalgo State, and the Pantepec, which starts in Puebla State, both of which penetrate Veracruz territory before what is called The Álamo, in the municipality of Temapache, uniting to form the Tuxpan, which has become an important passage for harbor access, strengthening the region's economy. To the height of the city of Tuxpan it displays some matting, as well as a lagoon (the one of Tampamachoco) close to its mouth.
