ROH World Heavyweight Championship

The ROH World Championship, originally ROH Championship, is the top title contested for in the independent professional wrestling promotion Ring of Honor. The current reigning and defending champion is the "American Dragon" Bryan Danielson.
Low Ki would defeat Spanky, "The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels, and "The Human Torture Device" Doug Williams in a 60 minute Ironman match to be crowned the first ROH Champion on July 27, 2002 at Crowning of a Champion.
Samoa Joe would (so far) have the longest and most dominating title reign when he held the belt for 21 months. During his reign, at Frontiers of Honor, a cross-promotional show with Frontier Wrestling Alliance in the United Kingdom on May 17, 2003, Samoa Joe helped the championship earn World Title status when the championship was first defended outside the United States in a match between Samoa Joe and The Zebra Kid.
