RPG-26
Encyclopedia : R : RP : RPG : RPG-26
The RPG-26 is a man-portable disposable anti-tank rocket launcher developed by the Soviet Union. Its ammunition has a single-stage high explosive anti-tank (HEAT) warhead.
The RPG-26 is based on the RPG-22, which in turn is based on the RPG-18, which is an almost direct copy of the US M72 LAW. The RPG-18 does not have the M72's disarming switch - once the launcher is extended and armed, it can no longer be disarmed. The RPG-22 and RPG-26 reinstate this missing feature. The RPG-27 is a further evolved version of the RPG-26.
