Rakeesh Sah Tarna is a fictional character from Sierra's classic graphic adventure series Quest for Glory. The character first appeared in 1990's ', and later appeared in ' and .
Rakeesh Sah Tarna is a liontaur: a centaur-like creature with the torso and arms of a human and the hindquarters, head and claws of a lion. He is also a Paladin: a warrior who gains mystical powers from his great honor. He first introduces the Hero to honor and becomes his guide in the ways of the Paladin in the city of Shapeir. He is a former ruler of his homeland of Tarna, where he was injured by a demon while defending it. He forfeited the throne in favour of his proud brother Rajah Sah Tarna; Rakeesh disagrees with his brother on many points, especially on Rakeesh's decision to become a Paladin. He left his wife Kreesha Mar Asha and his homeland due to his duties as a Paladin to go where he is needed (in this case, the city of Shapeir). He helped run the Adventurers' Guild in Shapeir with his friend Uhura, the Simbani woman warrior who left her village in the outskirts of Tarna as she wanted to be both a warrior and a mother, a thing Simbanian people would not allow. When the Hero saves Shapeir and Raseir, Rakeesh and Uhura returned to Tarna with the Hero to prevent a war between their two peoples and a tribe of shape-shifting wizards. After the Demon Wizard backing the war was defeated, Rakeesh overviewed the Rites of Rulership for the Hero in Silmaria. Although Rakeesh was poisoned by an unknown assassin, the Hero cured the poison and healed Rakeesh.
