Federico Ramón Puerta (born September 9, 1951) is an Argentine politician of the Peronist persuasion. He served as the interim president of the country for two days on December 21 and December 22, 2001. He came to that position because he was the President of the Argentine Senate, and because there was no vice-president, he was next in line to the presidency, and the previous president resigned. A week after giving up the presidency, Puerta resigned as leader of the Senate in order to avoid retaking the presidency because another president had resigned.
