Rana is a clan or gotra of Jats in Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh in India. This gotra used as surname is based on title Rana. Rana is the ruling clan of Jat rulers of Gohad in Madhya Pradesh and Dhaulpur in Rajasthan. They were originally Bamraulias from Bamrauli village near Agra.
