Raoul, Vimconte de Chagny is an a fictional character from Gaston Leroux's novel The Phantom of the Opera.

He is Christine Daaé's childhood sweetheart, and meets up with her again, as the Opera Populaire's patron, when they are older. They fall in love and become engaged, against the Phantom's wishes.
