is a manga and anime series about a doctor called Ray who has X-ray vision.
Story
Ray is a doctor who works in rather shady settings and unconventional situations. She'll operate on escaped gang members, perform heart transplants with an experimental artificial heart, and remove strange tumours using experimental anaethesia. Because of her medical skills and unusual eyes, she is always successful.However, Ray's past is as shady as her line of work. As a child, she had been created and raised on a body farm, not knowing when her organs would be harvested for an exhorbitant sum. Unnamed until she decided to call herself Ray (because she thought of herself as a "zero" and the character for zero 零 is rei, pronounced ray), her eyes are extracted and sold in her youth. She is luckily saved by a mysterious "[Black Jack (Manga)|BJ]]" who gives her new eyes with the ability to see through objects. Unfortunately, there are those from her past who still watch her for reasons unknown.
