Re-align
Encyclopedia : R : RE : REA : Re-align
The song song "Re-Align" by the hard rock band Godsmack is on their fourth official album "The Other Side" as an acoustic version of the same song on their second official album "Faceless". The two versions have a very similar sound. The acoustic version however, runs for 4:23, three seconds longer than the original version on "Faceless". While they both have a somewhat heavy feel, the acoustic version is naturally a bit softer.
The lyrics to "Re-Align" are as follows:
Decisions made from desperation/ No way to go/ Internal instincts craving isolation/ For me to grow/
CHORUS:/ My fear's come alive/ In this place where I once died/ Demons dreaming/ No and I, I just needed to re-align/
Fell in a river of illusion/ And apathy/ Drowning in a self-induced confusion/ I'd rather be/
CHORUS x2/
Musical interlude until 3:11/
CHORUS x2/
It can be noted that in the lyrics of "Re-Align" (which are the same in both the acoustic and original versions) that the line "Demons dreaming" is used in the chorus. This line was also in the song "Voodoo", track 12 on Godsmack's self titled album. The line is in the second section of verses in the song.
