About the Organisation

Reach Out! is a non for profit Australian organisation which aims at improving mental health, preventing youth suicide and the emotions and feelings which lead to negative destructive actions.

Established in 1998 by Inspire Foundation managing Director, Jack Heath, [www.reachout.com.au] has since grown to average over 55,000 hits a month and is a popular source amongst its target age group of 16-25 year olds across the country.

Australia’s young people guide the development of Reach Out! through an online Youth Advisory Board and Youth Ambassador program.

These young people help to write content, promote the service in their communities and ensure that Reach Out! remains relevant to the changing needs of young people.

The Reach Out! Youth Ambassador Program is a program which allows young people, who have previously been members of the Reach Out! Youth Advisory Board to continue their involvement with Reach Out!

Reach Out! is backed by leading experts in mental health promotion and suicide prevention, who form the National Advisory Council (NAC) for Reach Out!.
