Real-Time Strategy
Encyclopedia : R : RE : REA : Real-Time Strategy
Real-Time Strategy is a game genre, often referred to as War Games, Strategy Games, etc. The genre itself places the players in control of an entire battlefield of units to command and destroy the enemy. It all often starts with one unit named MCV (Mobile Construction Yard) to drive to a good location and deploy a Construction Yard. This structure later serves as headquarters for building a base. Other games exclude this vehicle and rather employs villagers or builders to build structures, the headquarters often named Town Hall, HQ, etc.
When the players (or Commanders/Generals) have access to units, they simply order them around by clicking on them, then click a location to move them. If clicked on an enemy, they'll attack.
