Recapping

Recapping or recaps, involves a summary of a television episode, movie, play, etc., complete with the opinions, sarcasm (also refered to as snark) and observations of a recapper. Recapping is almost strictly limited to television. Sites that recap include Television Without Pity, which is generally creditted with starting the trend, [Fandom Talk], [Too Much Free Time] and [TVgasm]. Often people connected with the television shows recapped will visit such sites, as recapping is essentially free advertising.
