Redrum Drum Computer

Encyclopedia : R : RE : RED : Redrum Drum Computer

Redrum is a pattern-based, step sequencer drum machine and is a device which is part of Propellerhead's Reason. The device has ten channels which can each hold one sample of WAV, AIFF and SoundFont filetype of any length, sample rate or bit depth. It also allows you to load in individual sample slices from REX2 files created in ReCycle. To create patterns you can use the in-built pattern sequencer of the device, or draw drum hits with the Reason sequencer. You can also wire drum channels to other devices in Reason, for instance you can create a sound using the SubTractor Analog Synthesizer, and link it up to a Redrum channel letting you play the Subtractor using the drum computer.
