Reliance Industries Limited is India's largest private sector company with a turnover of US$20 billion for the fiscal year ending in March 2005. It was founded by Dhirubhai Ambani in the 1970s. Reliance sponsored the 1987 Cricket World Cup which was held in India.

Reliance Industries Limited has a wide range of products from petrochemicals (its major product), garments (under the brand name of Vimal), telecommunications and Energy generation and distribution.Subsidiaries
- Reliance Infocomm, a CDMA mobile service provider in India. The mobile service lists content from Wikipedia in one of its menus.
- Bombay Suburban Electric Supply, now called Reliance Energy.
Management
It is managed by Dhirubhai's son, chairman Mukesh Ambani .Reliance Infocomm and Reliance Energy are no longer part of Reliance Industries.
