Reseda High School

thumb Reseda High School, established in 1953, is located in Reseda, California. The current principal of Reseda High is Alfredo Tarin. The mascot of Reseda High is the Regent, a lion welding a crown and a scepter. The school currently is home to the Reseda High School Science Magnet HS and the Reseda Police Academy Magnet HS, in addition to Reseda High. Reseda High School has several notable programs. Among them are an active Humanitas Academy, Multilingual Teachers Academy, Academic Decathelon Program, Navy Jr. ROTC, Urban Studies program, Science Bowl, excellent AP Calculus courses, and the largest yearly High School Science Fair in the San Fernando Valley. Reseda was used as the high school in the television series The Shield and in an episode of The Commander and Chief. Reseda High School celebrated its 50th anniversary graduation with one of the highest valedictorian and honors rates in school history.
