Resident Evil 4 (not to be confused with Resident Evil 4, the video game, which has an unrelated plot) is the informal name of a currently untitled fourth installment of Screen Gems' series of movies based on the Resident Evil survival horror series. Producer Paul W. S. Anderson has signed onto the project and may write the script. The events of the film will take place in Japan where ends. The release date hasn't been set yet but may eventually be scheduled for either 2008, 2009 or 2010.

Plot summary

The plot details are currently sketchy but will have something to do with the collapse of The Umbrella Corporation and Alice (Milla Jovovich) who has become the latest bio weapon. The events from have led to Tokyo, Japan.

According to a Bloody-Disgusting article [link], the film series will restart on an Island.

Rumors

June 23, 2006 Rumours emerged in various Australian newspapers that Charlie Clausen is in talks to portray Chris Redfield.
