Rev. Augustine Mulliner

The Rev. Augustine Mulliner is a character from the short stories of P.G. Wodehouse.

Starting as a timid, pale young curate at Lower Briskett-in-the-Midden, he went on to marry his vicar's daughter Jane Brandon and to become secretary to the Bishop of Stortford (Mulliner's Buck-U-Uppo, The Bishop's Move). In Gala Night, Augustine became the vicar of Walsingford-below-Chiveney-on-Thames. His rise through the ranks of the Church of England was partially due to his uncle Wilfred's tonic Buck-U-Uppo.
