Rev. Brelsford
Encyclopedia : R : RE : REV : Rev. Brelsford
A protestant missionary to Assiut Egypt, Rev. Brelsford is best known as an influence in the life of Ms. Lillian Thrasher, founder of the Lillian Thrasher oprhanage. It was Brelsford who met Ms. Thrasher in Washington DC and first suggested to her that her call to work in Africa might be a call to Assiut. When she arrived in Assiut she stayed with the Brelsfords, until an infant that she had taken into the home made life intolerable for her fellow missionaries and she chose to rent her own apartment, founding the Lillian Thrasher orphanage in 1911.
