Rev. Cyprian La Pastina

Rev. Cyprian P. La Pastina is a Roman Catholic priest of the Diocese of Bridgeport in Connecticut. He is the current pastor of St. Gabriel Parish in Stamford.

Fr. La Pastina was born and raised in Staten Island. After working for a few years, he made the decesion to enter the seminary. He entered St. John Fisher Seminary Residence and studied Philosophy at Sacred Heart University. After his philosophical studies, he entered Seaton Hall University's Seminary, and in 3 years, he was ordained a priest by Bishop Edward M. Egan.

His first assignment as a priest was St. Joseph Parish in Danbury. He held the position of Parochial Vicar there for 7 years. After St. Josephs, he was appointed to serve at St. Mary Parish in Greenwich. He held that position for only a year, when Bishop William E. Lori appointed Fr. La Pastina Pastor of St. Gabriel Parish in Stamford.

At St. Gabriel, he has done many things to jumpstart the parish. He has remodeled the altar, worked more closely with the music program, and helped the parish meet the annual Bishop's Appeal for the first time in years.
