Rich Karlgaard

Rich Karlgaard is publisher of Forbes magazine since July 1, 1998. Before that, he was editor of Forbes ASAP.

A native of North Dakota, he graduated from Stanford University, with a B.A. in Political Science.

He attended Stanford after transferring from a community college where he had earned a track and field scholarship.

Karlgaard was a co-founder of Upside Magazine.

He is an avid pilot and author of Life 2.0.
