The Robert J. Dole Institute of Politics is a facility at the University of Kansas. Opened in 2003 on namesake Bob Dole's 80th birthday, it houses Dole's papers and hosts frequent political events. The Institute is officially non-partisan and has sponsored on-campus programs featuring prominent politicians of both parties (most notably a presentation by former U.S. President Bill Clinton which was so popular it had to be moved to Allen Fieldhouse, a larger venue). It also awards the annual Dole Prize for Leadership, which includes a $25,000 cash award.
