Rodez is a city and commune in southern France, in the Aveyron département.
History
Rodez was the historic capital of Rouergue.
Sights
Rodez is an episcopal city since the 4th century, featuring an impressive 80 m tall cathedral. One of its specificities, is a completely closed western wall. Indeed this face was part of the city's defence wall.
Economy
Rodez is traditionally an agriculture trade center.
Transportation
Rodez is served by the nearby Rodez Marcillac Airport, located on the territory of the commune of Salles-la-Source.
