The Rolladen-Schneider LSD Ornith is a two-seater version of the LS1 sailplane having an 18 metre span, forward-swept wings and an enlarged rudder. A single exemplar was built in 1972 and was used for record flying in South Africa. Today the Ornith flies from Aschaffenburg Airfield (EDFC) in Germany.
