Rouben Hakhverdian is a popular Armenian singer and lyricist.

The song "Navak" can easily be called his all time children's classic, among his other children's songs such as "Chi Kareli", "Tzuk", "Nor Tari", and many more.

"Tikin Arous" tells the story of an old woman who leaves among memories of her late husband and her children who have abondened her.

"Sa Erevann e", i.e. This is Yerevan, is becoming the unofficial hymn of the city.

Three songs that Rouben himself says have influenced him most and have been his all-time favourites are Eleanor Rigby by The Beatles, Amsterdam by Jacques Brel and This is a Man's World by James Brown.
