What have we learnt from this anecdote? Well, only that musical talent can stem from anywhere and everywhere. Laura, Amrita and Legha make up the line-up of the new group to hit the UK. With their unique sound, derived from the many cultural influences within the group, the girls are set to tear up the charts. Its hard to categorise these girls, whose music stems from a mix of influences. Offering a fusion of Eastern sound with RnB, girl trio Rouge are surely destined to spice up in the charts. Amrita, Legha and Laura bring an air of mystique and intelligence to their music. No stranger to the entertainment industry, Rouge have a former Miss India in their midst, an actress, a choreographer and a songwriter. Their debut track Don't Be Shy,' is produced by hit producer Zeus. Soft and sultry voices sung over an addictive hook, accompanied by a strong bass line that you just cant get out of your head once youve gotten out of the shower. Although the girls have been compared to such acts as Mis-teeq and Sugababes, it is hard to compare Rouge to any group, past or present, as there has never been such a mix of cultural backgrounds and influences.
