Round & Round

"Round & Round" is a song by New Order's and second single from their 1989 album Technique. It was rerecorded for single release with Stephen Hague, who had previously worked with the group on their hit True Faith.
It is one of the groups most dance centred songs, with few guitar or bass lines. The single version was released in 7" and 12" versions, the differences being the 12" has a 2:45 intro and stops cold, while the 7" omits the intro and fades out earlier. The singe version differs from the album version, not only in length, but in it's emphasis and repetition of the line "It makes me act like a child". Like the majority of New Order songs, the title is never sung. Other differences include a fuller sound, incorporating a wash of synthesizers, also a keyboard solo is removed replaced by an instrumental break of the chorus.
The artwork by Peter Saville Assossiates mirrors the Technique album cover, but using a different statue and complimented by red or blue (depending on which version owned) background.
