The Royal National Institute of the Blind (RNIB) is a United Kingdom charity, which was set up to lobby for and help people who are blind or partially sighted. Their patron is the Queen.

They are especially active in promoting building and website design that is accessible.

RNIB is currently negotiating a merger of its library services with the National Library for the Blind.

RNIB's campaign work will be around six campaign priority areas over the next three years: eliminating avoidable sight loss; improving access to health and social care; improving access to information and information systems; increasing employment amongst blind and partially sighted people; increasing income for blind and partially sighted people; improving access to television, audio visual culture and life long learning. RNIB will also continue to campaign on reactive issues.

RNIB campaign and lobby to influence decision makers. RNIB have strong links with government in the EU and Westminster and the devolved administrations in the UK. RNIB work in partnership with other organisations to maximise the effectiveness of campaigns.

Galloway's Society for the Blind

Galloway's Society for the Blind acts as the local agent in Lancashire for the distribution and supply of RNIB equipment.
