Rudolphine Tables
Encyclopedia : R : RU : RUD : Rudolphine Tables
The Rudolphine Tables (Latin: Tabulae Rudolphinae) consist of a star catalog and planetary tables published by Johannes Kepler in 1627. They contain positions for 1,005 stars with directions and tables for locating the planets of the solar system.
The tables, based mainly on observations by Tycho Brahe, the renowned Danish astronomer, are very accurate, and were the first to include corrective factors for atmospheric refraction.
