Rupert Vansittart

Rupert Vansittart, sometimes credited as Rupert Vansittert, is a British character actor. He has appeared in a variety of roles in film and television, often played comic or serio-comic characters.

Vansittart is known to fans of the Pride and Prejudice miniseries as the actor who portrayed Mr. Hurst, the brother-in-law of Charles and Caroline Bingley.

Vansittart has most recently appeared in the new Doctor Who and Heartbeat, both in 2005.
