SMS Preußen (1903)

SMS Preußen was the fourth of five pre-dreadnaught battleships of the Braunschweig class in the German Imperial Navy, laid down in 1903 and commissioned 1904. Her sisters were Braunschweig, SMS Elsaß, SMS Hessen, and SMS Lothringen.
The ships displaced 14,400 tons, had a top speed of 18 knots and a range of 5,200 nautical miles at 10 knots. They were armed with four 28 cm (11") guns, fourten 17 cm guns, eighteen 8.8 cm guns, and four machine guns, plus six 45 cm torpedo tubes. Their armor was 225 mm at the belt, 300 mm at the turret and 40 mm on the main deck.
