Safet Sušić

Safet "Pape" Sušić (born April 13, 1955 in Zavidovići) is a football coach and former player from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Sušić began his career in Krivaja from Zavidovići. As a young man he was transferred to FK Sarajevo where he played 600 games and scored 400 goals. During the 1979/80 season he led the Yugoslavian league with 21 goals. In 1979 he was honored as the best football player in Yugoslavia and as the best athlete of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
In 1983 he was transferred to Paris Saint-Germain where he became a star on the European stage. In 2004, Sušić was selected as Bosnia and Herzegovina's "golden player" for UEFA's Golden Jubilee. Sušić was capped 54 times, scoring 21 goals for the Yugoslav national team, between 1977 and 1990. He also participated in the 1990 FIFA World Cup.
Susic currently coaches in Turkey.
