Saidai-ji

Saidai-ji (西大寺) is a Buddhist temple in the city of Nara, Nara Prefecture, Japan. Saidai-ji is the main temple of the Shingon Ritsu sect of Buddhism. It is the counterpart to Tōdai-ji. Its name means "west great temple."
Saidai-ji stands close to Yamato-Saidaiji Station on the Kintetsu Nara Line.
