Sally Blane

Sally Blane (July 11, 1910 - August 27, 1997) was an American actress. Blane was the sister of actresses Polly Ann Young and Loretta Young, and half-sister to actress Georgiana Young, the wife of actor Ricardo Montalban. She appeared in over 70 movies.
Early life and career
Born Elizabeth Jane Young in Salida, Colorado, she had her first film appearance at the age of seven when she appeared in Sirens of the Sea in 1917. She returned to the film business as an adult in the 20's where she played small parts in a number of silent films.Her career continued into the 1930s when Blane appeared in a number of low-budget films, among them Once a Sinner (1930), A Dangerous Affair (1930), Arabian Knights (1931), City Limits (1934), Against the Law (1934) and This Is the Life (1935).
She married actor and director Norman Foster in 1935. Her film work greatly reduced during the late 1930s. However, she did appear with all her acting sisters, including Georgiana, in the 1939 film, The Story of Alexander Graham Bell.
After that Sally Blane appeared only in four more movies in small support roles - Fighting Mad (1939), Charlie Chan at Treasure Island (1939), La Fuga (1944) and A Bullet for Joey (1955).
Blane died of cancer, just like her sisters, Polly and Loretta, in 1997 (aged 87).
