Sammy Watkins (? - ?) was the leader of the band, the Sammy Watkins Orchestra based in Cleveland, United States. He was a popular bandleader during the 1930s and 1940s. The bands longest engagement was at Cleveland’s Hotel Hollendon’s Vogue Room.
Musicians included drummer Fred Borgerhoff, and trumpeter Johnnie "Scat" Davis. Dean Martin (then known as Dino Martini) was the singer during the early 1940's. At the urging of Watkins, Martini dropped the ‘I’ in his last name and he became Dean Martin.
