Sandstorm refers to several different characters in the Transformers toyline.
Generation 1
In Generation 1, Sandstorm is an Autobot Triple Changer with three modes: robot, dune buggy and helicopter. He had a notable role in the third season episodes Starscream's Ghost and Ghost in the Machine acting as an ally to Octane who had deserted the Decepticons because of personal trouble with Galvatron.The name Sandstorm was also used on a repaint of the Combaticon Brawl that was only released in Japan and was unrelated to the Autobot Sandstorm. Sandstorm could merge with his team-mates to form Battle Gaia.
In the Machine Wars toyline, Sandstorm was an Autobot helicopter. The toy was a redeco of the European exclusive Turbomaster Rotorstorm.
Sandstorm was one of the exclusives in BotCon 1999. He was a tan redeco of Beast Wars Scorponok. This Sandstorm was, in fact, a member of the Covenant of Primus.
