Sandwiches That You Will Like is a 2002 PBS documentary by Rick Sebak of WQED, Pittsburgh. Sebak travels across the United States, sampling the unique sandwich offerings of several cities, from those sandwiches that are icons of their cities of origin (such as the Hoagie in Philadelphia) to more widely eaten fare that one city happens to do particularly well (such as the Italian beef sandwich in Chicago) to the virtually unknown (such as the St. Paul sandwich in St. Louis).
The cities and sandwiches showcased are:
- Buffalo, New York - "Beef-on-Weck", thinly sliced beef on a kummelweck
- Natick, Massachusetts - Shelf-stable sandwiches
- Watertown, Massachusetts - Falafel
- Boston - Roast beef
- Wiscasset, Maine - Lobster roll
- New York City - Pastrami; Peanut butter and jelly; "The Elvis" (from Peanut Butter and Company)
- Philadelphia - the cheesesteak, roast pork, and hoagies
- Chicago - Italian beef, topped with hot pepper giardiniera
- Marshalltown, Iowa - [Taylor's Maid-Rite] "loose meat" ground beef
- St. Louis - Snoots, Ears, and Rib Tips; the St. Paul sandwich, egg foo yung on white bread with lettuce and tomato
- Louisville, Kentucky - the "Hot Brown", an open-faced turkey sandwich with cheese and bacon
- Pittsburgh - Chipped ham Slammer
- New Orleans - Shrimp and oyster po-boys; muffalettas
- Houston - barbecue
- Los Angeles - French dip sandwich at Philippe's
- San Jose - bánh mì
