Santa Luċija

Santa Luċija is a small village (pop. 3,500 inhabitants) which is one of the modern towns developed during the 20th century on the island of Malta. By virtue of an article which appeared in Government Gazette of 7 July 1961 the area between Tal-Barrani (Tarxien By-Pass) and Luqa By-Pass. The Parish Church is dedicated to St. Pius X. It is home of the Garden of Serenity (a Chinese-built Public Garden). It houses a Hypogeum which was discovered in 1973.
