The Sarabhai family was a major business family of India. Ambalal Sarabhai was in the 1940s and 1950s, the owner of the Sarabhai Textile Mills in Ahmedabad - at the time one of India's largest textile companies. His daughter Mridula Sarabhai was an and political leader. His son Vikram Sarabhai would become the "Father of India's Space Program," as the co-founder of the Indian Space Research Organization.
