Sarah Parish

Sarah Parish (born 1st January 1969 at Yeovil, Somerset) is a British actress known from award-winning shows Peak Practice, Hearts and Bones and Cutting It. An appearance in a cult advert for Manchester-based Boddingtons bitter in 1994 (as Vera, who likes nothing better than "a good rub down with chip fat") led to a series of roles as northern women. She trained at the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts in London. Recently, she starred alongside Debra Messing in the movie The Wedding Date. Her parents are Bill and Thelma; she also has one sister and one brother (John Parish).
Parish co-owns the production company Aphra Productions with actress Dervla Kirwan and now lives in Islington, London.
