Sasha Mitchell (born July 27, 1967 in Los Angeles, California) is an American actor, best known for his role as "Cody" on the television series Step by Step.
Mitchell got his start on Dallas, playing J. R. Ewing's illegitimate son. He got work in his own right starting in 1988 in the film Spike of Bensonhurst. He earned his black belt in taekwando and was a championship fighter in kickboxing. Later, he showed prowess as a kickboxer, taking over from Jean-Claude Van Damme in the Kickboxer movie series, with the final one being [[Kickboxer 4: The Aggressor]] in 1994. He was also a Calvin Klein model.
After the scandal of domestic violence charges being filed by Mitchell's wife, the Disney company decided to write him out of the script, and was only asked back for one episode on the last season of Step by Step. He later stated in court that his domestic violence charges resulted from attempts at protecting his children from their mother, whom he accused of being a drug user. He was able to obtain full custody of their four children, and their mother only receives limited, supervised visitation.
In recent years Mitchell has acted in several direct-to-video films and made guest appearances on show like JAG, NYPD Blue, & ER.
