Sassuolo
Encyclopedia : S : SA : SAS : Sassuolo
Sassuolo is an industrial town west of Modena and north west of Bologna in the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy. The town's wealth derives from being the centre of the Italian (and thus global) tile industry for many decades. Cheaper tiles first from Spain and then from China have economically damaged the town, leaving an unclear role for it in the future.
