Satyagrahi is the second directorial movie of Pawan Kalyan after Johnny. This movie has the tag line "Satyame Naa Aayudham" which means "Truth is my weapon". The movie was launched on March 25, 2006 and the shooting is scheduled to start soon. The release of the movie is expected to be in 2007. This is the third movie of Pawan Kalyan with the producer A.M. Ratnam under the banner of Surya Movies after the blockbuster Khushi and Bangaram which is soon to be released. National Award-winning actress Meera Jasmine is the heroine.

The music for this movie is composed by A.R. Rehman and cinematography is done by P.C. Sreeram. The other technicians include Art by Anand Sai, Screenplay by P. Satyanand and Pawan Kalyan, produced by A.M. Ratnam and Story and direction by Pawan Kalyan.
