Major influences are Radiohead and Portishead.

History

After the suicide of its original guitarist Chico Molina, Sawat Dii Kaph started writing original music, and in early 2005 the band played gigs around Metro Manila. In mid 2005, some of the band’s recorded demos were leaked on the Internet, and web music commentators compared their music to the likes of The Vaselines, Nancy Sinatra, Galaxie 500, Pink Floyd, and The Velvet Underground.

However, Sawat Dii Kaph turned out to be short-lived, as band members called it quits by late 2005. Rumor has it that irreconcilable differences among members Julia, RJO and Mic, the band's creative forces, led to its demise. Julia wanted to pursue a more commercial and popular approach while RJO and Mic wanted to push the experimental envelope further.

Shattered Glass

Shattered Glass,” the band’s signature and swan song, has been a consistent topnotch in number of downloads in different websites and has gained increasing airplay in radio stations in Cebu, Davao, Cagayan De Oro, Ilocos, Butuan, Dagupan, Baguio, Iloilo, Bicol, General Santos, Cotabato, Batangas and others outside Metro Manila.
