Scotsport

Scotsport is a Scottish television programme. It is recognised by the Guinness Book of Records as the world's longest running sports television programme. The programme is still broadcast on stv and now on ITV1 Border Scotland.

The show began on 18 September, 1957, and is best known for its dedicated coverage of football from the top division in Scotland, currently the Scottish Premier League, and more recently the coverage of the Scottish First Division. The show also follows Scottish clubs in the UEFA Champions League via live matches and highlights programmes.

The current series of Scotsport has now ended, and will return on Monday, 31 July at 11.30pm, with a brand new look, and the show will be extended. [link]

Scotsport SPL

The modern day Scotsport SPL is presented by Jim Delahunt, with matches commentated by Archie Macpherson. It is shown on Monday nights and shows highlights of the matches from the Scottish Premier League.

Former presenters Sarah O and Julyan Sinclair were axed from the show in July 2006 reportedly due to their poor presenting skills. [link]

Scotsport Fanzone

Scotsport launched a new show during the 2005/06 season, also presented by Jim Delahunt, called Scotsport Fanzone. The show lets viewers call or text in their views on Scottish football. The show features late-night chat with football experts, and news on the SPL.
