Scott Hannan

Scott Hannan (born on January 23, 1979 in Richmond, British Columbia) is an NHL defenceman for the San Jose Sharks. He was selected in the first round of the 1997 NHL Entry Draft, 23rd overall, by the Sharks.
Considered one of the NHLs-best defensive defenseman, Hannan is a solid first-pairing defenseman who has been praised by players like Petr Sykora and Peter Forsberg for his ability to frustrate opposing forwards. One of his best assests is his durability, and he frequently logs more than twenty-five minutes per game. Hannan has played for Canada in many international tournaments.
Hannan is currently on the last year of a three-year, US$6,099,000 contract.
