Scott P. Fitzgerald (born November 18, 1979 in Hillingdon, England) is a professional footballer currently playing for Brentford F.C. in Football League One. Fitzgerald is a striker who started his career at Northwood F.C. before being signed by Championship side Watford in February 2003. At Watford Fitzgerald scored 11 goals in 29 league starts, but fell out of favour and was sent on loan to Swansea, Leyton Orient and Brentford.

Fitzgerald signed permanently for Brentford on transfer deadline day 2005. His goalscoring record at Brentford is impressive, scoring 5 times in 10 league starts. He fell out of favour in the 2005-06 season, being sent out on unproductive loan spells at Oxford United and Walsall. Such was his lack of impact at Walsall that he was released over a month early from a 5 month loan contract in April 2006.

Fitzgerald was made available on a free transfer by Brentford manager Leroy Rosenior on July 10 2006.
