Scroop

Encyclopedia : S : SC : SCR : Scroop

A scroop is the crisp rustling or crunching sound of silk or a similar fabric. Acetic acid or tartaric acid is used on the cloth and then the cloth is let dry without rinsing. The cause of this effect is attributed to acid microcry tals in the ribers rubbing against each other.

It is also the rustle noise that certain fabric like silk taffeta have.

It is considered a test characteristic to search for desiderable luxury fabrics.

It can also mean to leave without saying goodbye.
