[Sea-Search], a Pan-European Network For Ocean & Marine Data and Information Management

Scientific objectives and approach: Sea-Search is a Concerted Action of 32 ocean and marine data centres from 30 European coastal states. Its objectives:

• To develop and operate a pan-european infrastructure for ocean and marine data management

• To improve the exchange, availability and accessibility of ocean & marine data and information within Europe and including non-EC countries riperian to all seas bordering Europe

• To improve the transfer of knowledge, exchange of best practices and communications on ocean and marine data & information management to strengthen the overall quality, service and overall performance of ocean and marine data & information management both on a national and international level in Europe
